Marinara Meatballs


Carbs – Add to gnocchi, pasta or potato mash – as per your carb portion


  • Mince (chicken or beef) – as per protein portion on your plan 
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon onion salt 
  • OPTIONAL: Add quarter of a cup of grated zucchini or carrot.

 marinara SAUCE:

  • Canned chopped tomatoes – unflavored 
  • 2 cloves garlic, diced
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped 
  • 2 tablespoons oregano 


Prepare meatballs by adding all your ingredients into a bowl and mixing. Form meatballs. Heat a pan with a light spray of oil and brown your meatballs leaving slightly undercooked then remove from the pan. 

In the same pan add your garlic, chopped onion and cook until brown. Then add your tomatoes and oregano. Bring marinara sauce to a simmer then add your meatballs back into the pan to continue cooking through.
