We appreciate your interest in wanting to compete, however, before we go ahead there are a few things you need to think about before deciding to compete in a competition. It involves both mental and physical commitment due to the aesthetic nature of competing. It truly is a big lifestyle change that will be new, exciting, nerve-racking, busy, and challenging. The most important aspect of bodybuilding is ensuring you go into preparation and training with a positive relationship with yourself and the changes you may continuously see with dieting (cutting, bulking, maintaining), training (strength, fitness, hypertrophy, etc.), routine (early mornings, late nights, tight schedules, etc.), and the sacrifices to your normal lifestyle (e.g., socialising) that might be needed to prepare successfully for any show. The ultimate outcome of competing and placing well is reliant on all of these things working in motion, so it is crucial we go into prep well aware that changes will be happening often as we go.
