What is the RESET challenge?

Are you ready to RESET your routine after the silly season? Are you feeling a little lost or unsure of the direction you want to take to approach your new year goals?… then this is the perfect place for you to start your new year journey.

We are getting ready to kick-off our first 8-week challenge of 2024, to help you reset and re-align your health and fitness goals.

The RESET challenge has been strategically timed to give you 6 weeks of FAT LOSS, followed by 2 weeks of REVERSE DIETING to ensure that you can shed those happy kilos you might have gained over the festive season and keep them off.

Throughout these 8 weeks, you will work with Jake and our team of university qualified nutritionists to give you a completely customised experience with your nutrition.

There will be 2 different gym training options so you can choose how you want to train! Join team Jake and create a strong, sculpted V-shaped physique OR team Alicia and create a toned, hourglass bikini body with a focus on strengthening your glutes. This challenge will also include the option to train at home.

We are going to get you back on track, feeling confident and in control so that you can take on your 2024 goals feeling your best.

CHOOSE YOUR TRAINING PROGRAM.

Whether you are a beginner or a returning JCN challenger, we know that you are going to love our structured challenge training programs that have been created to build a strong, lean physique.

These sessions will include weight training with a hypertrophy focus to ensure you are progressing each week with your strength. You will have the option to choose between team Jake or team Alicia, as well as being prescribed additional cardio and step targets as required by your nutritionist to ensure you have optimal fat loss for the first 6 weeks of your challenge.

Whether you choose to work out from the gym or at home, our programs give you the ability to train at your desired intensity and progress at the rate you choose.

For those of you unable to train from a gym and wanting to choose an at home training approach, we have created a structure training program using minimal equipment to improve your overall fitness levels whilst sculpting and toning your body.

Your training programs will be accessible within your JCN app where you can log and track your progress for each session and see an extensive video exercise library to demonstrate any movements you aren’t sure how to perform.

TEAM JAKE: Train to create a well-balanced, strong, sculpted physique. This training split will include both compound and isolation exercises to help shape a V-tapered physique. You will have additional cardio and a step target prescribed by your nutritionist that will be adjusted at check-ins as required.

TEAM ALICIA: Train to create an hourglass shape whilst utilising cardio to shed body fat and sculpt your ultimate bikini body. This will be a 5-day training split with a focus on strengthening and shaping your glutes. You will have additional cardio and a step target prescribed by your nutritionist that will be adjusted at check-ins as required.

HOME TRAINING: Our home training program will include 2 full body circuits, 1 upper and 1 lower focused session as well as active rest days. This will require you to have 1-2 sets of dumbbells (see FAQ’S), long resistance bands and booty bands. Although our at home training programs will improve your overall fitness levels and also strength for those of you who are beginning your training journey, the progressive overload method cannot be utilised in this setting due to unavailability of weight/load.

If you have a home gym set up with an extensive range of equipment, eg. Barbell, weight plates, dumbbells etc, please select the “gym” training program as you will be able to utilise this program best and it will likely be more challenging for you than the home training program.

I enjoyed this challenge so much because it reminded me I don’t have to be starving to loose weight and I can still eat yummy foods to achieve amazing results. I’ve loved the support and encouragement from all and it’s really helped motivate me. I’ve really gained so much energy from this challenge, going for a walk after work to get some steps in is easy and not a chore anymore!! Frequently Asked Questions

Sign-ups will officially close on the 2nd of February 2024 to ensure your nutritionist has adequate time to set up all challengers programs and to ensure that our clients have enough time to prepare before day1 of the challenge beginning.

Day 1 of the challenge will begin on Monday 12th of February. The final day of the challenge will end on Sunday 7th April.

Your weekly subscription will begin from the day you sign up to the challenge. For most this will mean that you would have finished paying for your 8 week challenge before the end date.

After you have confirmed your place in the challenge, you will receive instructions via the email address you signed up with, on how to download and create your app account.

You will then be sent a link to create your app username and password within the first 3 days after signing up. Please ensure you keep an eye on your junk and spam inbox as well during this time.

You will have the ability to contact Jake and ask questions during the webinars as well as via our closed FB community group where regular updates and notices will be posted. Our fellow challengers may also be able to answer any questions you may have if they have previously been answered so we encourage our challengers to utilise this platform that we have created for your convenience and experience.

You will be able to add notes for your nutritionist throughout your fortnightly check-ins however any questions outside of check-in you will also be able to contact us via challenge@jcn.co.nz.

Please do not send Jake Instagram messages with challenge related questions as these are easily missed within the masses and will be responded to in a timely manner via the Facebook group or the challenge email address listed above.

No, you will need to remain on either Meal plan OR Macros from when your first plan is sent to you. These take time to set up as they are individually created and customised to your preferences, current stats, and goals. If they are changed throughout the challenge, it may affect your overall results

However, please note that if you do select a meal plan approach, you will also receive a full macro breakdown should you wish to make amendments to your meal plan if you have the knowledge to do so. 

We only recommend selecting a macro approach if you have tracked macros before and understand how to build out your own full day of eating.

If you are an experienced macro tracker, you can choose the macro only approach when filling out your forms. After your nutritionist evaluates your pre-assessment, they will assign custom macro goals, that includes protein, carbohydrates, fats, and daily calorie targets. You will also have access to the JCN recipe books and educational vault which includes PDF’s on how to create a balanced meal and fuel your body correctly throughout the day. We also have example meal plans within the vault that utilise our JCN recipes.

PLEASE NOTE: Opting for the macro-only approach requires you to build out your own day of meals to eat, we suggest only selecting this approach if you have experience tracking macros using app like MyFitnessPal.

Unfortunately, your app subscription will also end after the challenge finishes as this will be re set and programmed for the next round of challenges.

If you do not have access to weights, bands can be utilized only, however this will need to be specified on your initial questionnaire form. 

No, there is a strict no refund or cancellation policy in place for our challenge service. As this is a capped service, when you sign up you are taking someone else’s ability to sign up.

Therefore, you will not be granted a cancellation or refund for any reason including medical reasons after you make your initial sign up payment.

Debt collection will be used for those that do not complete their payments in a timely manner which can result in additional fees and affect your personal credit rating.

Although we cannot extend your challenge app subscription, if you sign up to the following challenge we can keep your app account active to store your data.

We send our challengers exclusive discount codes to work with us on our other services which will be available to you on our separate lifestyle app
